Building Of The Week: 15 Broad Street

Have you ever walked down Broad Street and glanced into 15 Broad Street and see this amazing chandelier in the lobby. If you haven’t yet, I would suggest checking it out. It is the original chandelier from the JP Morgan Building that was originally located there. The way it is displayed is pretty spectacular. The building is designed by famous designer Philippe Starck, and it is rightfully named “Downtown by Philippe Starck”.

It’s Official: Condé Nast Is Moving To 1 World Trade Center

For all of you who saw the R.J. Cutler film “The September Issue: Anna Wintour & The Making of Vogue” this is news that you want to hear. Condé Nast is officially moving their headquarters to what will soon be the tallest building in New York, 1 World Trade Center.

The W New York Downtown Opens

The word on the street is that the new W New York Downtown is futuristic and hip.  Curbed New York has recently featured an article about the opening of the W New York Downtown Hotel & Residences located on 123 Washington Street in the heart of the Financial District. Guess what kids, it finally opens this week.

With the New York Post reporting that Bank of New York Mellon is considering selling its historic Art Deco headquarters tower at 1 Wall St and the expected conversion of AIG’s former headquarters at 70 Pine Street , our friends at Curbed wonder whether the Financial District is about to be flooded with even more inventory.
