NYU Plans to Take Over Governor’s Island

New York University, otherwise known as the educational behemoth that ate New York and continues to make plans to consume more, is set to reveal its 20 year expansion plan come April. According to the NYTimes, the plan will increase the size and space of the university by a mind-boggling 40%, and NYU hopes it’ll be completed by 2031. West Village Residents Want Brooke Shields Out!

Back in 2008, actress Brooke Shields bought a four-apartment townhouse on West 10th Street in the West Village at the recommendation of her Lipstick Jungle costar Lindsay Price, who also lives in the neighborhood.
