Another Skinny Tall Building By Ismael Leyva

If you haven’t checked out my blog about the previous Ismael Leyva building that I discussed on October the 19th, check it out now. Here is another crazy skinny tower planned down in Tribeca. Of course none of these plans are solid yet but Curbed NY discusses a possible narrow futuristic tower being squeezed into the space at 19 Park Place. A location down the street from the building of the controversial Islamic center.
Take a look at the design:

The building will be 21 stories with 29 residences throughout. What do …

Rumor Has It Justin Timberlake Is Moving To Soho

Curbed NY has recently reported that Justin Timberlake is moving his pad uptown from Tribeca to West Broadway in Soho. He just might be inhabiting the beautiful Soho Mews. It just so happens that last month I payed a street visit to Soho Mews and created my own little photo essay that I blogged about. Just like I said back in September, the building is in a beautiful part of the city. Soho is thriving with people, beautiful architecture, awesome stores and hip restaurants. I also loved how the building …

The Long Lost Manhattan Neighborhood: Hudson Square

Have you ever heard of the area in New York called Hudson Square? It seems weird that this small Manhattan neighborhood goes unnoticed after being surrounded by popular neighborhoods like the West Village, Soho, and Tribeca. I like to call it the long lost Manhattan Neighborhood.
According to NYC.com, Hudson Square owes it’s development to the Trinity Church that was established as early as 1697. Queen Anne of England gave this land to the church, which eventually developed into Hudson Square over the years. A couple centuries later to 2010, the …

It’s Official: Condé Nast Is Moving To 1 World Trade Center

For all of you who saw the R.J. Cutler film “The September Issue: Anna Wintour & The Making of Vogue” this is news that you want to hear. Condé Nast is officially moving their headquarters to what will soon be the tallest building in New York, 1 World Trade Center.
This is rather exciting for the Financial District and the neighborhoods surrounding, like Tribeca and Battery Park City. The New York Times reports how the introduction of Condé Nast to Times Square brought a flock of other businesses and tourists to …

One Celebrity’s Loss is Another Buyer’s Gain

New York real estate, like all other areas of the economy, has suffered the negative effects of the recession. Yet it sometimes has seemed that niche, high-end properties have been immune to the recession. In the past a name brand location, developer or even interior designer has been able to keep prices afloat. This however no longer holds true in the current market climate. This the past week, several high profile celebrities sold their New York condos for, sometimes drastically, reduced prices. It seems that even with the cache of …

Selling New York Heads to Connecticut

Last night was another episode of HGTV’s real estate reality series, Selling New York. The show follows two Manhattan brokerages, CORE and Kleier, as they attempt to stage, sell and purchase the most fabulous of New York real estate. Apparently, however, sometimes New York real estate means getting out of the city – and away to Connecticut, home of 14,000 square foot mansions with rolling hills and king-sized ballrooms.
The episode followed CORE’s Tom Postillo as he attempted to pull off a double whammy with clients Sal Rizzo and his more …

101 Warren: Property of the Day

Something about Tribeca continues to call our name. Maybe it’s our inner desire to be stroller moms, maybe it’s all the cobblestones, maybe it’s the fact that we’re right near the water and just steps away from the best restaurants around – or maybe, it’s 101 Warren. We’ve got a big crush on this building, from its floor to ceiling windows to its perfect location.
Located in Manhattan’s TriBeCa neighborhood, 101 Warren is a sleek and elegant newly built condominium with 227 residences. The homes at 101 Warren are the centerpiece …

Property of the Day: 101 Warren

There’s something about Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood. Maybe it’s the cobblestoned streets, maybe it’s the bevy of amazing restaurants and one of a kind boutiques. Maybe it’s the fact that it’s by the water; maybe it’s all the renovated factory buildings. Whatever it is, we can’t get enough of it. We can’t wait to be a Maclaren stroller pushing Tribeca moms, shopping for organic baby food at Whole Foods and purchasing arts and crafts magazines at Barnes and Noble while our husband picks up a new shower curtain at Bed Bath …
