Stylish Manhattan Retreats

Buying a condo on the Upper East Side?

What amenities are you looking for before you settle into your new condo?

Main residence or a metropolitan second home, everyone seems to be looking for the same things… convenience, class, and couture. Sometimes we want a penthouse with an interior that reminds us of our country homes, and other times we may be looking for a full floor residency that is the complete opposite of our Villa in St.Barts… Whatever the case somewhere in Manhattan is the perfect Condo or Co-op for everyone!  These two residencies are among my all time favorite on the Upper East Side

The prestigious Manhattan House located at 3rd Ave. & East 166th. In the upscale neighborhood of Lennox Hill the Manhattan House offers everything from studio’s to 5 bed 5 bath units, five blocks from Central Park and Eight blocks from Barney’s. Manhattan House offers a one full acre private garden, The Manhattan Club, 24 hour doorman and on site spa facilities and that is but the tip of the iceberg when it comes to amenities offered.  We all know The Manhattan house has received a lot of publicity in the past, and I believe the residencies here are truly a diamond in the Big Apple!

Located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, 305 East 85th street to be exact the Georgica may just be one of Manhattans best kept secrets! It is situated on a wonderful tree-lined street and offers 58 residences with just two to four homes per floor. There is a 24 hour attended lobby, concierge, a residents only fitness center. Residents enjoy a landscaped rooftop sun deck, and a pool. There is a playground for the kids.  Take advantage of the fantastic floor to ceiling windows, marvel at the White Oak Herringbone floors, and glossy white lacquered cabinets. The best features in my opinion are the ultra modern bathrooms with Antigua marble vanities, and the Kitchens that include wine coolers, among other amenities.

“Degas: A New Old Master for Modern Times,” led by Colta Ives, Curator Emerita, The Metropolitan Museum of Art Tuesday, April 9, 2013, 6 – 7:30 p.m.
Of all the avant-garde Impressionists, Degas was the most thoroughly and consistently committed to the practice of drawing, a traditional artistic exercise for which he showed extraordinary sympathy and aptitude. Focusing on sheets from the current exhibition, this seminar will offer a close examination of some of the artist’s superb figure studies drawn in graphite, chalk, and charcoal that laid the foundations for memorable paintings of contemporary French life.
